Michigan astronaut offers out-of-this-world view of Great Lakes

A Michigan astronaut aboard the International Space Station has continues to offer out-of-this-world views of the Great Lakes region.

NASA astronaut Andrew J. “Drew” Feustel, of Lake Orion, boarded the ISS in March. He will remain there participating in hundreds of science projects and technology demonstrations for about five months, but in the meantime, he’s been active in offering unique views of the place he calls home.

His latest photo, posted to Twitter on May 2, offers a breathtaking look at the Great Lakes.

“On Monday, I captured this amazing image of all the places I called home for the first 32 years of my life,” Feustel wrote. “Many of my family and friends are in this photo, somewhere.”

It is the latest photo shared by the NASA veteran. Feustel offered a great look at the Mackinac Bridge on April 6.
