Spotify, Brand USA create playlist to promote travel to Cleveland


CLEVELAND, Ohio – What songs would make you want to visit Cleveland? How about “Let it Whip,” “Hungry Eyes,” or “It’s Your Thing.”

Brand USA, in partnership with streaming service Spotify, has created playlists for Cleveland and 21 other U.S. cities, part of the agency’s new “Hear the Music, Experience the USA” campaign. (See visittheusa.com/music.)

The campaign is designed to increase interest in travel to the United States.

Cleveland’s travel playlist includes songs by Eric Carmen, the Dazz Band, Kid Cudi, Tracy Chapman, Q Money, the James Gang and John Legend, plus numerous artists that aren’t from Ohio. It’s described as “the sounds of Midwestern grit meeting cosmopolitan pleasures.”
